iPhone 3Gs – Yes, I did have to get it

2 years ago I purchased the first iPhone the first day that it came out. I didn’t wait in line, but instead opted to stop at the apple store on the way home from work and get in and out in less then 10 minutes with my new phone. I paid the full price at the time, and while I could have waited and got it cheaper I’m glad that I didn’t. It was instantly one of those things I just couldn’t get through the day without.

When the second one came out (a year ago) I decided to skip the upgrade because it didn’t seem to offer enough over what I already had.

But this year when the new 3Gs came out, I pre-ordered on line right away. With all of the new features, improved speed and 4x more storage space I felt it was worth the upgrade price (which is half of what the first one cost me).

So in typical nerd style, I had to take photos of the unboxing on Friday when I received it.
