Just to be safe we brought the suitcase with us. We will be here for about an hour while they do the stress test on the twins. Maybe I should have them run it on me too.

Another New Week – Still a family of 2
4:00 pm
OK, I’m getting really anxious now. For the longest time I just wasn’t ready for the boys to arrive because I always had “just one more thing” to do. And while I still feel like there’s more for me to do (the list is truly endless) I’m more ready now then every before!
Today we went to see a Movie (Juno) and had a good time. It was a simple, funny, feel good movie. We’re home now and I’m guessing in for the night, no trips to the hospital.
So, I’ll hope for tomorrow now.

Week 37 – Tick tock, tick tock
7:17am
I can hardly believe it, but Brenda has made it to week 37. My original guess was that she would have them at the beginning of week 36.She was very uncomfortable last night and had a hard time falling asleep. She had some new pains too but insisted that they were not contraction related. I slept on the couch because it’s been hard to get a good nights sleep with her. She’s always moving and turning and groaning and snoring these days.
Based on average growth rates, it’s possible that they are not only over 7 lbs. each, but they might be close to 8 lbs. So even if she goes a few more days, they could be some really big babies (for twins anyway).
I feel like today could be the day. But I’ve been wrong before.

The Belly Dropped
4:43pm It doesn’t mean anything specific just yet, but Brenda has reported that her belly has dropped. This normally happens a few weeks before delivery, however it’s different between every woman, and every pregnancy. For some women the baby doesn’t drop until delivery, so really it’s anywhere from a few weeks to a few hours. And still other woman report never noticing a drop at all.
So what does it mean here? Not really sure, other then we’re at least a baby step closer (pun totally intended) to meeting our little guys. -
A Lazy Saturday
It’s raining outside, dark and what’s left of the snow has that dirty look to it. Seems like a good day to just stay inside and lay around.
But, I have so far fought that temptation and managed to get a few things done so far today, baby related of coarse. I’m still working on the basement/storage room and hope to have that wrapped up tomorrow. That will give us some well needed space.
Brenda has been feeling OK today (she seems to be getting over her cold) but she’s sleeping more today then usual. Still no solid signs of anything happening today, but I know that can change at any moment.
If by chance Brenda DOES have them today, it would be the same birthday as my cousin Robin in Rochester NY. If it does not happen today, there are a few other birthdays coming up that it may fall on as well. So we’ll have to see.
So once again, I’m sorry I have nothing big to report.
