This will give Brenda a little bit of a break and allow her to have just a little more freedom to get things done for herself as well as the boys. This also lays the groundwork for giving her the ability to work on some video projects now and then as she wants, which she has already expressed an interest in doing down the road.

We found Rachel through a great Nanny Placement Service called NannySitters. What they do is pre-screen potential Nanny’s by having them fill out an exhaustive questionnaire, check references, and do background checks. They then do their best to match the right Nanny’s to the right families based on the families needs. You’re then provided with multiple resumes to look though, and you are able to phone interview any that you’re interested in. In person interviews are setup if the phone interview goes well.

While we could have done this all on our own without the help of an agency, the benefit of using the agency is that so much of the work is done in advance for you. Not only that, because of the background checks they do and the pre-screening, I feel like we could be a lot more confident with the people we were sent to interview. They were also a very good resource just to have questions answered since we’re new to all of this.

So we’re excited to have found Rachel, who is such a great match for our family and needs. Welcome Rachel!!

I’m very excited to announce we have hired a Nanny to help with the boys!
