Now that all the work is done, I’m spending a few days getting all of the equipment ready for the trip next week. Three years ago when I went to Hong Kong I had a whole cart full of equipment to do the job. This year, I’ll be able to fit almost all of the\u00a0equipment\u00a0into my normal suitcase. Why? The power of the laptop has grown by leaps and bounds, and things you couldn’t imagine doing 10 years ago, even on a desktop system, are now possible. Add to that the fact that we’re not even shooting on video tape anymore, it’s all memory cards and hard drives.\u00a0<\/p>\n
