  • Another Day, Another Doctor to See

    11:22am

I took Brenda to have another baby stress test this morning. It’s a test where they put a heart monitor on each baby and have you sit there for about 30 minutes while they record how the baby is doing. After the test is done the doctor reviews it for anything abnormal. As before, they said everything looked perfect and to “keep up the good work”! With twins this test can be very difficult but Brenda has had great luck. The boys just seem to cooperate.

I have to go to the office this afternoon to sign some checks (so Scott gets paid), and then I have a client holiday lunch. After that, my own doctor appointment to look at what I think is a broken toe (I stubbed it on the co-sleeper in the bedroom) and after that it’s off to the Wheaton Police Station to have the car seats inspected. There is apparently a high number of car seats that are incorrectly installed, so I want to be sure ours is done correctly.

So Brenda will spend another relaxing day at home in the rocker watching TV, and taking the occasional nap. Feel free to give her a call if you want to talk to her!

    More to come soon.

  • My First Day Home!

I have to say I’m excited to be home from work. I’m still getting work done (phone calls, emails, bids, etc.) but it feels good not going into the office for awhile and being home with Brenda, especially after a marathon 16 hour day yesterday.

Today I’m taking her in for another Dr. Appt/Checkup. We don’t expect to find out anything new, just that they’re still in there moving around. She has another appointment tomorrow as well for something different.

So I made it through my last job at the office and Scott is finishing up the rest of it today for me. I’m hoping for one day of rest today, and that she has them tomorrow! If you ask Brenda though, she thinks it will be sometime next week.

    That’s all for now!

  • Week 36 – Any second now, any second!

For twins, the average for delivery is 36 weeks (compared to 40 being full term) so all along I was just hoping they didn’t come before then. So we’ve made it to a major milestone.

I know it sounds like the same report every week and to some degree it is, but Brenda is still doing very well and is now confined to either laying in bed watching TV, or sitting in her rocker/glider chair and watching TV. Overall she’s still feeling good, but she suffered from headaches more this week then in the past.

The boys are pretty large. It’s very easy for her to feel their arms and legs specifically moving now, and they seem to either punch her bladder or kick at her ribs and lungs.  They are probably very close to 7 lbs. each right now.

I’m officially not scheduled at the office after Tuesday of this week, and have off until the third week in January. So as long as they don’t come until Wednesday or later, I’m happy!
