A Smaller Family Reunion
Because I have not been feeling well since getting back from the Thailand trip, we decided not to make the trip to MI this year for the annual family reunion. I think we made the right call even though we were both disappointed that we didn’t go. The boys were really looking forward to it, it’s all they’ve been talking about.
So, instead we took a much shorter trip down to Chicago’s Millennium Park and walked around with the boys and just hung out on the grass for awhile.
There are more photos here of Andrew only because Max was still sound asleep in the stroller when we stopped. By the time he was awake they were both ready to eat so we didn’t have time to get more photos of him.
Here’s a short movie clip as well of them playing in the grass for the first time.

Last Video Done and Out the Door
[qt:/blog/video/Day3_hltsA_v1-Blog.mov /blog/video/Day3_hltsA_v1-Blog.jpg /blog/video/Day3_hltsA_v1-Blog.mov 600 337]
All 6 videos are done and the last 2 of them play Friday morning. One at the start of the session, and one at the end. This one here is the morning video, and is probably the best of all 6 that I cut.
Tomorrow morning I’m planning on getting up early (instead of sleeping late again) and going to the convention center to see the last few played on the big screen, as well as take some behind the scenes stills. I’m excited because most of the time I’m still editing and can’t make it to the convention center before the job is over.

Video 1, Done

I actually did two videos today, but here is the first one. It plays tomorrow morning (in less then 6 hours) during the opening sessions at the convention center. It’s considered the “welcome video”, and just shows a bunch of people from different countries saying “hello”.
I have to edit 6 videos total before the end of the week.

Night Tuk-Tuk Ride
[qt:/blog/video/night_tuktuk-Blog.mov /blog/video/night_tuktuk-Blog.jpg /blog/video/night_tuktuk-Blog.mov 500 375]
This movie is from our last evening in Chiang Mai. We went out to dinner and used the Tuk-Tuk’s to get around. This clip is probably longer then it really needs (even though it’s a lot shorter then the original) but it’s an interesting way to see what the city looks like, and how crazy the traffic and driving is at times.
