  • Week 36 – Any second now, any second!

For twins, the average for delivery is 36 weeks (compared to 40 being full term) so all along I was just hoping they didn’t come before then. So we’ve made it to a major milestone.

I know it sounds like the same report every week and to some degree it is, but Brenda is still doing very well and is now confined to either laying in bed watching TV, or sitting in her rocker/glider chair and watching TV. Overall she’s still feeling good, but she suffered from headaches more this week then in the past.

The boys are pretty large. It’s very easy for her to feel their arms and legs specifically moving now, and they seem to either punch her bladder or kick at her ribs and lungs.  They are probably very close to 7 lbs. each right now.

I’m officially not scheduled at the office after Tuesday of this week, and have off until the third week in January. So as long as they don’t come until Wednesday or later, I’m happy!

  • Little John Thor says “No more photos”

But you can see more photos of him right now.

Just click HERE. But do it fast before he finds out!

  • Meet Mike

Mike Younger, co-worker at the office and friend, will be on hand at the hospital during or shortly after the birth of the twins to take photos. I wanted to be sure we got some photos, but know I’ll be too busy myself and maybe a little distracted.

Mike is a talented photographer with experience doing everything from weddings to private parties. You can view some of his work by visiting his website.

Mike will not be taking traditional “posed” photos, but instead will be there as more of a documentary photographer, to capture the moment as it happens.

So if you happen to see him, feel free to tell him hello and make him feel welcomed!

  • Another Doctor Visit Today

This morning Brenda had another appointment with the doctor. A C-Section delivery is now scheduled for December 31st, however even the doctor said she could deliver any day now,  and would not likely make it to the 31st.

I still stay next week is the week! At that point they will be over 7 lbs. each. You can really feel how large they are now just by touching her stomach, and last night I was able to play with one of them a little. Every time I pushed on his leg he would move it, so I kept following his leg and gently pushed on it. He told me he liked it.

Brenda has had no problems with gestational diabetes, and her blood pressure has been very good all through the pregnancy. All in all she’s had a very healthy pregnancy, especially for having twins. Normally multiple pregnancies have more complications.

We’ll find out soon enough I guess.

More Photos of John Thor Wiecek

As I continue to receive photos I will post them at this site. This will let people see larger photos that are hard to email, and you can download them if you like too.

During the upload it crashed the first time so there are some duplicate photos. I’ll take care of that later but wanted to post what I had now.
