  • Week 35 – Still Going Strong!

Brenda is still doing very well with the twin boys. She’s still getting around OK and we were able to run some errands this weekend together and also go out for dinner. That’s a marathon day for her!

We’ve decided to hold off on buying a van for another 3-6 months. Since Brenda will not be working at the office (and generating income at the office) we just want to be sure things are not going to get too tight with another vehicle payment. My guess is by the summer things will have adjusted fine and we’ll get it then. I’m probably going to have to get a full time replacement for her early next year.

This weekend I assembled a few other baby related items, did some minor home repairs, and gutted the laundry room to get rid of just too many things that had built up over the years (do you really need receipts that are 14 years old??). Since our house is small, I’m really trying to make the best use of the space we do have. By the end of the day (very end) I had thrown out several bags of garbage, an old dresser and countless other items, and assembled 3 new shelving units and organized what was left. So not only is there more space for future storage, but it’s a whole lot cleaner!

    NAMES

Although we’ve been pretty close for awhile, we finally 100% agreed on the names for both boys, and even assigned one to baby A, and one to baby B. They are not in a sealed gold envelope and will be announced once they enter the world.

It’s a very busy week for me with lots of edits and a few meetings as well. Brenda’s main job right now is to RELAX and keep the buns in the oven until they’re good and ready!

My money is still on a week 36 birth. We’ll find out soon enough. At this point, any day is possible!

    Stay tuned!

  • WELCOME JOHN THOR WIECEK!

My sister Dawn (husband Ted) had their baby late last night, weighing in at 5 lbs. 14 ounces.  My sister Debbie is pictured here but I’ll post a photo of Dawn with the baby as soon as I get one. This is one of those many times that being away from my family is difficult. I wish I could be there for my baby sister.

    Congratulations Dawn and Ted!

  • Friday Twins Update – Weight Update

We had our appointment today and found out that baby A is 6 lbs 8 ounces, and baby B is slightly smaller at 5 lbs. 14 ounces. The doctor said that everything looked great and to “keep up the good work”. So even before the twins are born, Brenda is already officially a good Mom!

  • 34 WEEKS

    l1dy4sryp2haj673vy03c1i1_r1_500.jpg

Another week behind us and one week closer! On average twins deliver at the 36 week mark, so I think we have 2-3 weeks at best now. Brenda had a good week and is slowing down even more. She now has two check-ups per week to stay on top of their progress.  This coming Friday they will be weighed again, and I think at that point we’re going to have a really good idea when they might be making their appearance.

They’re still both head down which is great, but that can still change.

Brenda is STILL working at home, but last week was only about 20 hours. This week will probably only few a few hours of finishing things up, so I feel pretty confident this truly is her last week of working. Anything after this week I’ll have to just take care of back at the office for this project.

    That’s all for now!
