  • Andrew “Special Time”

In the ongoing effort to make each child in our family feel special and individual, today we started “special time”. Special time is when one child has one-on-one time with one parent. Andrew went first and dad took him to Starbucks to have coffee talk with him and teach some new life lessons.

    Among the lessons taught were…

    • How to properly remove a straw from it’s paper wrapping.
    • How to hang your coat on the back of your chair instead of just tossing it on the floor.
    • How to properly navigate the iPhone interface and take photos with the built in camera.

We also stopped to “catch a train” on the way home. Today it was two freight trains heading in opposite directions (and on different tracks).

All in all, it was an awesome way to start the weekend.

  • A Few Weekend Photos

The rest on Flickr as usual. Nothing spectacular so don’t hold your breath.

  • How Many Languages Can You Say “Lions” In?

    Eleven. That’s how many.

It’s a week of on-site translations for a video we did a few weeks ago. It’s being translated into 11 different languages.

  • Museum of Science and Industry

Last fall we went to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, my favorite Chicago Museum by far. I had not been there since they updated the submarine exhibit, and it’s pretty awesome now. This one exhibit alone is worth making the trip for.
