    Spring Concerts 2014 – Maximus

Max has come such a long way in so many different ways.

During the winter concert of  Kindergarden Max was nervous and scared and started crying during the show. He didn’t really sing at all and looked like he just hated the whole experience. It was heartbreaking to see as his father. I was there to video tape it like I had already done for the other two but what I ended up with was so bad that I just never did anything with it.

But in contrast this year he looked to be so proud to be up there on the stage, he knew most if not all the songs and he was excited to give us a tour of his classroom when the show was over. It was such a great day for him.

We are so proud of you Maximus!!

  • Weekend In Detroit

We recently went to Detroit for a long weekend visit, the first one in nearly a year due to Brenda being pregnant most of last year. We had a great time and it was a lot of fun watching all of the new cousins playing with each other.

It’s amazing when I think about what our visits were like just 3-4 years ago vs now. The whole focus of our visits have changed, not to mention simply exhausting.

There are a few photos here, you can find the rest on SmugMug.

  • Madison’s First Day of School

Madison Ollar, daughter of my sister Debbie and her husband Steve Ollar.

It seems like only yesterday that we welcomed Madison into the world, and now she’s heading off to her first day of school.

  • Madison on Informercials

My niece Madison seems to absorb informercials like a sponge, and is able to repeat back almost the entire ad in great detail. I think the product makers should start sending her some checks for her efforts. Here is a pitch she made to me the last time we were in Detroit.
